I've only witnessed this once (I've been to about 3 Korean weddings but was only close to one woman and got invited to the after party party). It's a bit like the garter thingy but but but... man. (A Korean American friend absolutely refuses to believe this is a post wedding tradition and I can only find one reference to it on google. Perhaps it's rare.)
