Wow… 239 minutes! Great job! I’m really looking forward to hearing Rosa back and for some survival Korean! Last time I wrote, I said I was waiting to hear if I am going to Korea or not. I just got good news, so I’ll be studying hard and listening carefully next week!
Just wanted to say how much of a wonderful chance it is to hear about the expat community and different blogging communities in Korea through the podcast. Being new to Korea, I’m also new to all of these blogs – it’s been great to read through people’s websites after hearing from the different authors directly. This podcast has turned me onto a handful of new blogs (even the one about knitting haha). I’ve been recommending them all to my friends who claim to be having more fun in Japan (I’m sure you know the type).
I don’t know if I could survive the last few months of my job without having these marathon long podcasts to listen to. This stuff is like crack for those waiting for their time to go abroad to teach…!!
Keep up the good work!

Awesome! Well, you know that you were the catalyst for this upcoming podcast. So it’s dedicated to you.

Wow, that was a long podcast. I think I listened to it over the course of the entire week. I continue to find everything about Korea to be fascinating – especially through North American eyes. Not so keen on the conversation of US politics – I get enough of that from CNN and Fox News – but I guess you can talk about whatever you want on your podcast. Did you skip your regular stuff – English T-shirt finds and kids say the darndest things?
Keep up the great work … hearing all this stuff makes me realize that I don’t really have to visit Korea to know what life is like there. Thanks for saving me the airfare!

Next podcast is shorter… but again, that’s not hard to do after that last one. Sorry about the politics. There are so many Korean blogs out there that bombard us with a single point of view, and I think Mike and I felt the urge to try to balance that.
Engrish T-shirts and the other stuff are in the show when we have material. The thing is, Jennifer and I work a lot more hours than Karl did and don’t wander the streets long enough to take pictures of t-shirts. But we do have a segment in the next podcast. We try to compensate by putting in more news and talk about topics foreigners are discussing these days.
Thanks for getting through that long ass podcast!
