Sorry for the Hiccup
News December 18th, 2008A little perfect storm blasted through the SeoulPodcast HQ this past week. Our account on our host was suspended for going over the CPU usage limit, and I couldn’t fix it for a few days because both the motherboard and cooling fan on my computer got fried.
I got the parts on Tuesday, got most everything up and running on Wednesday, and I’ve moved ZenKimchi back on to the old server so I can go under the hood and figure out how to fix these problems that have been gaining on it. I’m loading up all the producing software at this moment so I can get the next show out, which we recorded a week ago. It’s a good one with our friend Mike “The Metropolitician” Hurt. We’re also planning a little Year in Review show and a big semi-live New Year’s Eve bash.
I’ll hopefully have the next show out this weekend.

Joe,
Glad you’re back up. I’m jonesing for my Podcasts.
Just thought you might like to know that your podcasts have paid off for me at work.
We recently hired a Korean intern that reports (assigned) to me. He is constantly befuddled as to my up to the minute knowledge of current Korean events and cultural issues. I swear he thinks I fly to Seoul on the weekends. He is amazed that someone in Las Vegas would even care about such issues. Because of this there isn’t a task he won’t take on which is pushing him along our steep learning curve very quickly. Everyone in the department sees this and I’m sure he will be offered a full time position once he graduates.
Thanks

Wow! No idea our little show would come to be of such use. I guess we missed the parliament brawl while the system was down, though.
