Let’s celebrate the introduction of grunge to Korea! Now, instead of just being 20 years behind the times, Korea is only 15-10! I am definetely seeing that the more laid-back casual look is becoming more common. The opening band at my college’s festival was also a Nirvana cover band.

As far as the Chinese massage parlor in California using a Korean’s celebrity image goes, I wonder how many Japanese models and pin-up girls appreciate their images being used to advertise Korean “massage” rooms. I wonder how many of those girls on the fliers are actually Korean.

If a foreign country used a photo of a homeless person in almost any North American city, we’d mostly go “wow, what a failure of our society. This is how other nations have come to view us. We need to make things better here.”

Of course we might not do dick, but we wouldn’t conclude the best response is to crash the servers of anything with an .sg domain.
